Week 3 of Bedrest

So...I have been in bed for the last 3 weeks. I have somewhat cheated this last week. It is too difficult to never get out of bed. My doctors appointments have all been so good. Everything is looking really good. Part of the reason I want to get up a little bit is so when 36 weeks come hopefully my body will be ready to deliver. I don't want to go too much past that. I am certainly ready to have this baby! Eric has been so good while I have been down. He takes care of the heavy duty cleaning and the laundry. He is also very good at grocery shopping.

Things that I have come to do very well this last while. I have gone through 4 sudoku books and am working on my 5th. I am downloading music onto my ipod because I have lots of time to do that. I also have a lot of bonding time with the baby. Although he is still in the womb we have some quality time together. He'll cuddle up to my hand when I put it on my stomach. I can't wait for the real thing. I am so grateful to have so many friends and family helping out during this time. We live in the best ward. They have been such lifesavers by bringing us meals and also support.

I really like adding pictures, because it gives me an excuse to look through the photos we have. Although there are no recent ones (can you blame me??) it is fun to put some pictures on.

First Blog

Today is the day for me to start a blog!

I am almost 32 weeks pregnant, and was put on bed rest last week. Needless to say, I have lots of time on my hands. I had been having lots of contractions, so my doctor wanted me to go to labor & delivery to be monitored to make sure that everything was alright. Well, apparently my cervix was really soft, luckily I wasn't dilating. They put me on full bed rest for at least 2 weeks and have me on medication to stop my contractions. I am supposed to be fully down, only getting up to go to the restroom or to shower or eat. Luckily, Eric has a laptop and is letting me use it while I am down. It's great!! I can be connected to the outside world. I am so excited because tomorrow I can get out of the house for a little while, at least, because I have a doctors appointment. Who knew an appointment could be so exciting.

This is the end of my first post. I now get to figure out how to post some pictures. We don't have anything too recent. I am getting so tubby and have a large belly. Needless to say, I don't want many pictures taken of me right now. Especially since I am on bed rest and can't get any exercise whatsoever. I'm afraid the weight will just keep piling on until he is born. I can't wait to get back to the gym! So, anyways...the pictures will be some fun ones of Eric & I and our fun adventures together.
