Date Night

Yesterday, Eric & I went on a date! My sister, Kara, and I did a babysitting swap this weekend. We watched Nikki on Friday and they watched Ryan yesterday. It was so much fun. We went to dinner at Johnny Carinos...so yummy! Then we had some time to actually talk.
We went to a movie also. We thought Cloverfield might be interesting. When we were buying the tickets, after we said we wanted 2 for Cloverfield, the guy looked at us so seriously and asked, "do you get motion sickness?" Kind of taken back, I thought...no. I rarely get motion sickness...unless I'm on Star Tours. So, we got the tickets, some popcorn, ate all the popcorn before the movie started and then watched. About 30 minutes into the movie I wanted to puke! I got so sick. I was hoping there would be some parts where the camera was still. But nope. Then at the end I wanted some closure and didn't get any. It was actually kind of a disturbing movie. I think the director made his point. I certainly felt ill for the people in the movie. It was just a movie...right? This is one show I probably woudn't see again, but I would see the sequel.
Well, when we went back to get Ryan, my brother in law Andrew said that a little girl kissed him at the Carls Jr play place. Yeah, he's a heartbreaker!

Easter

Happy Easter! It has been such a wonderful day! It began yesterday with the city Easter Egg Hunt followed by Ryans birthday party! We had lots of fun with the family and were able to enjoy another hunt at the party. We had good times, good food and most of all good company. Thanks to all that came, we had lots of fun. Ryan has had more treats this past weekend, than ever. He has been just exhausted and will hopefully sleep really well tonight. Ryan didn't care too much about the eggs, he just wanted something to put in his mouth...what's new.
Eric and I were able to go to the Temple last night. We have not been to the temple for over a year, and last night was just precious time with Eric. It was so wonderful doing service in the house of the Lord. It made me ever more thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ, who atoned for my sins. I am so thankful that he suffered all he did for me and for my family. I can only hope that I can in someway repay him for all he has done for me. I think I want to make a tradition of going to the Temple the day before Easter, I don't think there is any better way to begin the Holiday.
Happy Easter everybody!

Ryan is the big 01

Today is my little baby's birthday! I cannot believe that he is already a year old. It really makes me reflect on this past year and how wonderful it has been. We had an eventful day. We went to get his pictures taken and then I came home to get stuff ready...ie make birthday cake, wrap a present, etc. He has been so good and we are so blessed and grateful that we have him. Here are some fun pics and hopefully we can get some videos up.

He loved the cake!! He is his mothers child..what can I say?

Free-spirited and wise. You have a strong passionate spirit that touches and changes all who know you. The wisdom and common sense that you have is really what guides you through life. Even so, you also have a very playful side that loves adventure and excitement.

March is here!

I am so happy that we are through with February! The average temperature is supposed to be 49 degrees, so goodbye to snow (kind of). I'm sure we'll have those freak snow storms, but at least it won't be the norm. The weather yesterday was 57 degrees and sunny! It was so fun being outside. I took Ryan to the park and put him on the swings. He loved it, he just squealed and giggled. Not much has been going on for us this past week. Just the same old thing! Ryan is almost walking. He is really steady standing up, but kind of wimps out when it comes to walking alone. He cruises well along furniture and can walk holding just one hand. I think he'll be so much happier when he can walk. I will have to do lots more childproofing, however. Ryan got this shirt from his Grandma and Grandpa Jones. They just got back from Hawaii.

Ryan looks so cute in it!
