What have we done???

Our main room floor is a red tile that is just dying. The previous owners poured acid on it to remove some stains and needless to say, it destroyed the grout, the finish on the tile and it looks like a mess. So before Ryan starts to crawl we needed to put new flooring on our main level so Ryan doesn't put grout in his mouth. So yesterday we started demolition. It is so much work!!! We pulled up the tile and then the backboard. We are now moving the fridge and the stove so we can clean up underneath there. Our main level looks like a disaster area!!! I would have taken pictures, but I didn't. I don't know that I want to remember this. We are finally ready to start laying the wood floors. Hopefully it goes smoothly and we can get lots of it done today. I am so sweaty and stink so bad!! It will be nice when we turn our gas back on and I can take a nice warm shower, I am sure that Eric would agree. I'll post some pics when our new flooring is underway. This has turned into a much bigger project than anticipated, however. The floor is going to be about 1/4 an inch lower than the tile was. So we are going to have to repaint, because underneath the baseboards isn't the right color. Then while we are at it, we may as well repaint the base boards and the doors. I want to have it done before Christina's shower, which is at my house. So Christina, if you are reading this, this is all for you!
