I need help everyone. I am just over 8 weeks pregnant and I am sicker than a dog. I can't keep food down and my throat hurts so badly from throwing up so much. I am desperate for a solution to at least help me get through these next weeks. Please, anything would be wonderful!

Oh, you poor thing! The only thing I can suggest is talking to your Dr. When I was pregnant with my first, my Dr. gave me a prescription for an anti-nausea med that worked pretty well. Good luck!!! Stick in there, hopefully you'll be over this soon.
CALL your doctor and ask them for a script of zofran that dissolves on your tongue - half unisom and half b-6 or a supository (sp?) of phenegren I actually had to take all of these so that i could function!! but they did help!!let me know if you need anything else!if you feel really dehydrated then go and get and iv of fluids... not fun!!!
I also would suggest half a unisom. Only half because a whole one will make you even more tired. But it worked for me.
Just remember! It's worth it.
thanks for the advice. I am already doing the unisom and B6 at night and have zofran for the daytime, but I am still wanting to curl up in a ball and not wake up...until the first trimester is over.
Congrats!!! We are so excited for you. Is that why we haven't seen you since Charlie was born? I have some sea bands you could borrow which can take the edge off a little, eat lots of little meals throughout the day. the zofran strips worked pretty well for me. If you want me to come take Ryan to the park, let me know...
I remember an L and D nurse telling me to drink ginger ale and nibble ginger snaps. Also, seltzer water mixed with a little cranberry juice might help keep you hydrated. I'm very happy for you (and just a little jealous, though not of the puking!)
So congrats, and what a pain to be sick - but you know it's worth it! I was told to eat lots of dinner mints when you feel like you need to throw up - they are very soft on your throat and they taste the same coming up as they do going down... I never had to use them myself, but that's something you could try, and it would be mild on your throat!
It was nice to talk to you today. Glad that you were feeling better at least to get out of your house. Wish we could have talked more.
