So, we didn't do any shopping yesterday. There were lots of good deals, and lots of things I wanted to get, but the bottom line was I was too lazy (and Eric would say too smart) to get up early and go brave the crowds. With my luck I would have been the pregnant lady trampled over by unruly crowds.
We had a good time putting up the Christmas Tree in the morning. I am waiting for the day that I hear an ornament break on the floor. Ryan points to the ornaments and says "ball". Yeah, I'm waiting for him to throw one, only to see it break and then hear the "uh-oh".

We went downtown yesterday afternoon/evening. We drove into Gateway and then took Trax to the Gallivan Center where we watched a cute little childrens choir sing.
Ryan actually sat and watched almost the whole thing. Then we walked to the Pantry to get some dinner...yummy. Their rolls are divine.
Anyways, after we were done there we went to Temple Square where the lights had been turned on. Ryan loved looking at the lights. It got cold enough at this point that he actually wanted his gloves and hat and blanket on. One of the things I love is that they put the Nativity on top of the reflective pool.
It was so pretty and the perfect place for it. As we walked back to Gateway, Ryan was serenading the passers by. We just laughed and laughed. When we got to Gateway they were giving out hot chocolate and cookies. It was so much fun to be out in the cool winter air all bundled up.

Must read this before going on.......
This morning we were giving Ryan some cereal to hold him over until the waffles were done. So, he was yelling and fussing for his food. I was getting frustrated and as I'm pouring the milk over his cereal I said "Isn't life just so tough?" Ryan looked at me and said "uh, yea."
We died laughing!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ali! That's exciting that you've got your Christmas tree up. I understand about waiting to hear the ornaments break. ha ha Also, I have never seen the nativity done like that. That's pretty neat.
I haven't been to Temple Square in years. It is fun to see it all decorated. I don't really agree about the cold weather though. Ha ha I love my flip flops too much! I know it got way crazy in NY for Black friday. people are insane! We didn't have big problems. they opened a Super Target by my parents house and it is so nice and we didn't even have to fight over toys or wait in long lines. it was well worth getting up early.
how fun!! he is getting so big!!
