4th of July

I think the fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. Our family goes to the Murray City Parade in the morning and watches the fireworks at Murray Park in the evening. It was so much fun having Ryan with us this year. He was so good during the parade (he slept for most of it). It was so funny, because at the beginning of the parade people were walking around handing out flags to everybody, well I got my flag and gave it to Ryan. He held it and was actually waving it for a little bit (I'm sure unintentionally). It was still so funny. After the parade was over we went and saw Ratatouille. Ryan, again, slept for most of it, but when he was awake, he just watched the movie. He is such a good little baby. After the movie we went to my Aunt Cindy's house and had some lunch and visited with my side of the family. We were finally able to go home and have a nap after that. We were so exhausted from the heat. It has been so hot here.

Finally, in the early evening, we went to Subway and got some dinner to take with us to the park. Ryan was again so good. He just sat there during the concert before the fireworks, and then when the fireworks began, he just stared into the sky in awe. It was so fun to see him. He looked at the sky and just stared at the fireworks. He was never scared.

My sister, Kara, had quite the scare with her little girl Nikki. She was sick, and went to the doctor. Well, she had 4 seizures that day, beginning at the doctors office. So, she ended up at Primary Childrens hospital for a couple of days. She is doing well, and will hopefully be back to normal soon. I bet Ryan misses her malling him all the time, or maybe not. We are so glad that she is doing well and is home.

Ah, cute pics. It looks like fun. I'm envious of you having a baby, not pregnant. I'm glad that it was in the 70's on the 4th here. That heat would have drained me completely. Ryan is getting so big! Is he in 3-6 mos?
