Today, was a momentous occasion. Ryan is 4 months old and we fed him his first solid food today, Rice Cereal.
He did not know what to think of it. He doesn't quite know what to do when it goes in his mouth. He, sort of, spits it out as soon as it goes in, but isn't doing it intentionally...does that make sense???
It will take some practice, but I think he'll be enjoying it shortly. It will be fun to start feeding him some sweet solids, like fruit.

He did have his 4 month check up yesterday. He weight 15 lbs 4 oz. It sounds big, but he is in the 50th percentile for weight. He is an average baby, I think that his cheeks make him look so big. I can't remember his legnth but he is in the 80th percentile again for that and his head is in the 35-40th percentile. He is just a perfectly proportioned little boy. He is really starting to have his facial features come out. He is just turning into a little boy.

The poor thing has had a slight battle with the flu this week. But, thankfully he is doing much better.

I call him Eric all of the time and Wayne says, "Do you mean Ryan?" Of course I do it unintentionally, but he's his daddy's boy! That is so fun when they can start eating solids! I always loved it because my kids slept better at night, but it seems like he's doing that already!
